Bogotá is located in a savannah formed by the eastern Andes mountain range at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level. Although most of the city is fairly flat, the city is bordered to the east by an incredible mountain range, known as the Cerros Orientales, which follows the city's expanse from south to north.

The mountainous landscape is not only the most visible geographic feature of the city, but one of the biggest influences on Bogotá's climate. Although these mountains are always present, they are completely unknown to many locals and visitors. After the efforts made by the residents of some neighboring neighborhoods, the local administration has made several hiking trails available and connected to offer citizens the option of discovering one of the capital's greatest natural treasures.
This tour will start at the starting point, right on the edge of the city. There you can walk until you reach a viewpoint with a privileged view of the city. Throughout the walk, you will learn with the help of the expert guide, about the competition between native and foreign species, the environmental concerns that Bogotá faces and much more. After this pleasant walk, you will return safely to the city and be dropped off at your hotel or preferred destination.
